Falling Down

I was watching Falling Down while I was working and the opening sequence struck me. I love the way everything is almost monochromatic, and warm tones giving the whole sequence a hot feeling. The way Michael Douglas seems to look trapped and claustrophobic in the way they use extreme close ups and framing of him being in his car, and the slow build of minor annoyances in the environment is all extremely well-done. I decided I would try and do a little cartoon painting of one of the last shots from that sequence in my own little style as a sort of study in cinematography I guess. This is what I came up with. It's not perfect, but I enjoyed the process.
